Our Technologies

Learn More:    Our Team   |   Our Office   |   Our Technologies

At Smile Solutions we believe in using the latest, best-tested technology. Lasers and computers have brought dentistry to new levels in recent years. They have made dental work:

  • Quicker
  • Virtually painless
  • Far less prone to bleeding or infection
  • Remove cavities without a drill
  • Treat Gum Disease and bone loss faster with a non-invasive technique
  • Root canals can be done faster and more efficiently with the PiPS laser
  • Cold sores on the lips and in the mouth can be stopped as soon as the appear
  • CBCT scanner can see all of the teeth, TMJ, sinuses, neck, airway, bone height and width for implants. All in one image with no sharp films to gag you and less exposure than a regular series of X-Rays
  • Mercury (metal) fillings can be safely removed and replaced the most advanced tooth colored fillings
  • Plan smile makeovers and see in advance of starting what your new natural veneers will look like

Soft Tissue Diode Laser
Dr. Spinner uses this cool, gentle laser to recontour your gums, correcting a "gummy" smile or uneven tooth sizes.

Hard Tissue Erbium Yag Laser

The latest and most advanced laser in dentistry. It is able to cavities without using a drill. This means no drill noise and no drill vibration. Cavities can be eliminated without contacting the tooth and most times without needing to be numb.

K7 Evaluation System
If you come to us with TMD symptoms, Dr. Spinner will use the K7 System to clearly diagnose whether you do indeed have TMD. This sophisticated system will do three things:

  • Measure and record your jaw muscle movements
  • Measure and record the electrical activity of the jaw muscles
  • Record the jaw joint sounds when your lower jaw moves

This information will be assembled and inter-related to give Dr. Spinner the data he needs to make an accurate diagnosis and start planning your customized TMD treatment.

Digital Intraoral Cameras
We use our cameras to take Before and After photos for you, and to create for your file accurate and detailed images of exactly what dental conditions you bring to us and what work Dr. Spinner does to improve your dental health. You can see the images on a chairside computer monitor.

Digital X-Rays
Compared to traditional X-rays, digital X-rays give less exposure to radiation. This is safer for you, and it also gives instant images on the computer monitor. You don't have to wait while someone develops the print images. Nor do you have to bite down on that hard film container.

Cone Beam Scanner
High Tech 3D Cone Beam Brings State of the Art Diagnosis to Dentistry.

Like all fields in Medicine and Dentistry, the speed and level of technology, have advanced at a feverish pace. Cone Beam 3D volumetric scanner technology is making it now possible to see, diagnose and treat at a higher level than ever before. The most impressive advantages of these clear and accurate images are they are taken in a natural, comfortable posture in just 14 seconds. The highly refined Cone Beam instrument does this all with one third less radiation than a series of small dental radiographs.

So why use a Cone beam instrument when we have regular 2D radiographs already?
If a problem can not be seen, it can't be diagnosed and if it can't be diagnosed it can't be properly treated. In simple terms, it is just better.

Cone Beam imaging offers superior 3D diagnosis not visible with 2D radiographs. The true to size and exact spatial relationships in Cone Beam images makes it invaluable in treatment of TMJ, surgical procedures, dental implants, obstructive sleep apnea, cervical neck treatments, bite correction, nasal, throat and sinus treatments. Dental implants can be placed with incredible accuracy and safety. The Cone Beam instrument gives us the ability to create a computer generated surgical guide to maximize the safety, esthetics function of dental implants. Dr. Spinner will not place a dental implant unless he can use this superior technology.
